Happy Sunday everyone! This is the first Sunday in May so that means we have a new challenge starting at Great Impressions. Our theme is "Feminine". Here are some examples for you.
The prize is adorable!
The stamps I am using are "Bird and Roses" (G111) and "The Rose" (J106). I made the background using "The Rose". It is embossed in Aged Rose and then I used distress inks. I colored with my Copic markers and did a fussy cut with the "Bird and Roses" stamp. After I cut it out I added some Glastique on the branches and weaker areas.
The frame is actually not a frame at all. After cutting the paper with the die I cut out the middle so the image would be set inside the frame. I wanted to make sure to see as much of the embossed words as possible. Instead of flowers I wanted to use these things that were attached to some silk flowers I have. I then glued them to a ribbon.
Since it is difficult to read the words I wanted to show you what it says:
God created the rose in the likeness of a woman.
The rose represents beauty. The stem represents
strength. Petals are soft as her delicate skin. The
fragrance so pure and so sweet. Leaves represent
arms outstretched, always giving. Each time you
look at this rose remember ... God made you special.
Is that not a beautiful assembly of words!
Now pop over to Great Impressions and check out the other inspirations made for you. I do hope to see you join in on the May challenge.
