Oh my gosh...this is just so cute!

Masculine is a hard card for me to do.  I just have no men in my life.  I've been divorced forever and have only daughters.  Everyone in my home is female and has been for many many years.  So for masculine cards I tend to look at my extended family.

I knew my nephew would be having a birthday soon so I made this for him.  He is a welder and just loves his cars and really all things "guy" related.  I checked with my niece for his favorite colors and was told black for vehicles but red was his favorite.  I wanted to incorporate both even though it is really hard for me to do black and I'm not a fan of red.  I have red hair so I can't wear red at all.  I hope he enjoys it.

The stamp I started with is "Flaming Truck" (G536).  It is colored with Copic markers and then glazed over with Glossy Accents brushed on the truck and Glastique for the windows.  I don't have any masculine papers so I made one.  The paper behind the truck is just a guy carrying a tool box and holding a wrench.

I made the base red so I wanted something between and chose silver.  I embossed this and put it all together.  I then stamped the sentiment "Becoming a Classic" (D390) and placed it under the truck.  I was going to add gears but they didn't work out.  Most masculine cards aren't that embellished so I left it alone.

I do hope you will check out the June Challenge at Great Impressions and see all the DT has for you this month.  See you in the challenge!

Thanks for visiting and have a blessed day!
