PRAYERS FOR A FRIEND

At our church we have a program called Visiting Teaching.  All the women in the church go around to each others homes and visit with them once a month to make sure all is well and to be their friend.  It's a really wonderful program.  I have been helped by so many women in our church I can't even count them all.  I love going around to visit with the women I am to visit.  This card is for one of them.

I know it's a bit hard to read in the picture but the sentiment says "Prayer is the place where burdens change shoulders".  This is such a true statement.  Prayer can be the best thing you ever do.  It gives such a feeling of relief to me to have Christ take the burdens from me.

To make this card I used a new stamp I bought at a craft show I attended recently with my daughter, my sister and her friend.  This is called "LiLi's Prayer" by Inky Impressions.  I met the owner and creator of these cute stamps too.  I told her how hard it is for me to stamp and so I usually use a digi.  She showed me how the grooves in her stamps go so much deeper than most companies.  I'm now a stamper.  These stamps  are so easy to use.  And aren't they cute?  I found their challenge blog just before the show and was really excited to meet them.  I had to do this card for their challenge.

I colored LiLi with Whisper Stroke markers and some Stickles by Ranger.  The design is a sketch at Willow Sketchie Challenge shown below.  The frame is a Spellbinders die cut and the punch is from Martha Stewart.  The papers are Bazzill, Doodle Pantry and some of my Stash 'O' Scraps.  The ribbons are from Offray and Darice.  The background stamp is Stampendous.  Finally the sentiment comes courtesy of Desert Diva.

I am entering into the following challenges:

Inky Impressions - Use lots of ribbon
Willow Sketchie - Sketch or die cuts and/or punches
Deep Ocean #24 - Use punches/dies
Sassy Studio Designs #123 - You've been framed
Party Time Tuesdays #66 - Two or more ribbons

Hope you all have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
