CHRISTMAS IN APRIL?

Finally we are getting real Spring!  Here in Ohio we can have all four seasons in one week.  Last week we had snow on Friday and 70 degree weather two days later.   And then here I go with a Christmas card.

I am here with a reminder about the Love to Scrap Challenge Blog for this month.  Our challenge is "Girlz Rule".  We have the following sponsors

Prize: $7 gift certificate

Prize: $10 gift certificate

Prize: $25 gift certificate

My impression of Girlz Rule would be flowers, so I chose to use a stamp from Heartfelt Creations.  This stamp is Large Sparkling Poinsettia.  It has a corresponding die but I don't have that yet.  I stamped the image twice with Versamark and used some gold embossing powder.  I colored them with Copic markers and fussy cut them out.

I used some techniques I learned from a Heartfelt class I took to shape the petals and leaves then painted them with Glossy Accents.  I used a paintbrush because if you put the Glossy Accents directly onto the petals they will flatten out.  Finally, after they were all dry I put the flower together.

When deciding on the card to make my thoughts went to just white.  So I made the card completely white with a pop of gold.  I embossed with some snowflakes then popped that layer up on the base card.  I stamped the sentiment on white and lined it with gold (my sister's idea) and popped it up.

I do hope to see you in the challenge and please stop by the LTSCB to check out all the other DT creations.

Thanks for visiting and have a blessed day!
