ANOTHER BIRTHDAY CARD

Recently I saw a card that I thought was done very nicely.  The card was done by Laine from Dream Laine.  She used the Bokeh technique.  She inspired me to do a card using that technique also.  The card I saw was done using aqua markers.  I don't have any of them so I thought I would use some distress inks.  I picked up my Tim Holtz Distress Inks and chose Wild Honey, Peeled Paint & Tumbled Glass (yellow, green, blue).

When I put down the blue it looked green.  When I put down the yellow it looked orange.  The green stayed green.  I figured a way to dilute the yellow to actually get some yellow. All in all I think it turned out okay.  I just had to spritz it a bit though.  The technique does not call for that though.  I think it added something to it.

I wanted to make the background part of the focal so I did not want to add too much.  Recently my sister gave me a set of styluses to use with my flowers from Heartfelt.  So I cut out the flowers and leaves (hopefully I will get the die set that goes with it soon cause that was a lot of cutting) then used my new stylus to bring the flowers to life.

I hope you enjoyed my take on the Bokeh technique and stop by to see Laine's card too.

Have a fabulous day!
