LET'S GO SHOPPING!

Who couldn't use a new pair of shoes?

Hi Everyone!  I am so happy to announce that I am officially on a design team!  I am one of the new design team members at Crafting When We Can!  I'm so excited!!!!!!

Welcome to this week's challenge "Fashion and Pearls".  We are sponsored this week by Digi Doodle Shop.   Aren't these shoes so cute.  Wish I had a few pairs.  I love Digi Doodles.  They have so many adorable images.

I have colored my image with Whisper Strokes and Stampin Up markers.  I added Stickles by Ranger to sparkle up the heart and Glossy accents by Inkssentials give the shoe that added shiny look.  The design comes from a sketch at Craft Your Passion I have added below.  I found these adorable papers with shoes and purses at Papercraft Inspirations.  The other papers come from The Paper Co., Coredinations and my Stash 'O Scraps.  I added pearls from Queen & Co. and the flowers from Flora Studios.  The ribbon came from a birthday present I received from my sister last year.

Please stop by the other DT blogs and see their wonderful creations.

I have entered this card into the following challenges:

Elizabeth & Kyle Get Married

My niece will be married on Saturday.  My sister, my daughter and I will be headed to Kentucky for the wedding.  My lovely daughter is the Maid of Honor.  She is so excited to be in her first wedding.  The dress is just beautiful and she gets to wear 4" heels.  This makes her somewhat of an Amazon as she is already 5'9".  She has been practicing walking so there will be no face hitting the floor.

This lovely image comes from Floppy Latte Designs.  I colored with Whisper Strokes markers and some Stickles by Ranger.  I added some Glossy Accents by Inkssentials to her nails to shine them up.  The design is a sketch from Sketches by Carly.  The papers are from The Paper Co. and my Stash 'O Scraps.  The ribbons are from Offray and Darice.  I accented with Floral Embelishments by Petaloo.  I also added a lovely sentiment on the inside from Create with TLC.

I have entered into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp & Show - Anything Goes
Lia Stampz #17 - April showers bring May flowers
Whimsy Stamps #39 - Anything Goes
Card Makin Mamas #45 - May flowers
Sweet Stampin' - Flower power

I hope you have enjoyed my card.  Have a wonderful day.  Thanks for stopping by.

Cortlynn's card for her teacher

I received this image from Sassy Studio Designs yesterday.  My niece's decided to do a card for their teachers with it.  This is the first one by Cortlynn.  She picked out all the materials from my stash.  We are putting this card in two challenges.  The first would be with Sassy Studios and the second with Hiding in My Craft Room.  Wish them luck.  The following is a message from Cortlynn.

I've been working very hard on this project.  My teacher has been a very nice person to me and my other teacher.  I hope that I win this challenge.

PRAYERS FOR A FRIEND

At our church we have a program called Visiting Teaching.  All the women in the church go around to each others homes and visit with them once a month to make sure all is well and to be their friend.  It's a really wonderful program.  I have been helped by so many women in our church I can't even count them all.  I love going around to visit with the women I am to visit.  This card is for one of them.

I know it's a bit hard to read in the picture but the sentiment says "Prayer is the place where burdens change shoulders".  This is such a true statement.  Prayer can be the best thing you ever do.  It gives such a feeling of relief to me to have Christ take the burdens from me.

To make this card I used a new stamp I bought at a craft show I attended recently with my daughter, my sister and her friend.  This is called "LiLi's Prayer" by Inky Impressions.  I met the owner and creator of these cute stamps too.  I told her how hard it is for me to stamp and so I usually use a digi.  She showed me how the grooves in her stamps go so much deeper than most companies.  I'm now a stamper.  These stamps  are so easy to use.  And aren't they cute?  I found their challenge blog just before the show and was really excited to meet them.  I had to do this card for their challenge.

I colored LiLi with Whisper Stroke markers and some Stickles by Ranger.  The design is a sketch at Willow Sketchie Challenge shown below.  The frame is a Spellbinders die cut and the punch is from Martha Stewart.  The papers are Bazzill, Doodle Pantry and some of my Stash 'O' Scraps.  The ribbons are from Offray and Darice.  The background stamp is Stampendous.  Finally the sentiment comes courtesy of Desert Diva.

I am entering into the following challenges:

Inky Impressions - Use lots of ribbon
Willow Sketchie - Sketch or die cuts and/or punches
Deep Ocean #24 - Use punches/dies
Sassy Studio Designs #123 - You've been framed
Party Time Tuesdays #66 - Two or more ribbons

Hope you all have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

MY SISTER IS TURNING "29" AGAIN

Hi everyone!  It seems I have another card to make.  My sister is having a birthday this month.  She doesn't really have an issue with her age.  I just wanted to tease her a bit as she will get this post before she gets the card.  So HAPPY BIRTHDAY BECK!  I hope you like your card.  Becky has five children.  Each of them fly around her house on a daily basis.  Yes you guessed it.  They are all birds.  I fashioned this one after her son Ferguson.  He doesn't have any red, I just thought I would give him some extra color for his mom's birthday.

This gorgeous image comes from Doodle Pantry.  I love their work.  Such cute little animals, especially the birds.  I colored him with Whisper Strokes markers and some Stickles by Ranger.  The sketch is from Crafting When We Can.  I have included the sketch below.  The papers come from Doodle Pantry, Bazzill and my Stash 'O Scraps.  I used buttons from Bo Bunny, pearls from Queen & Co., ribbons from Darice and Offray and the sentiment is from Desert Diva.

As some of you may know I did a guest designer spot in February for Sassy Studio Designs.  Well I am trying out now for a spot on the DT for Crafting When We Can.  I have seen the other ones trying out for this spot and I'm not sure of my chances (especially since I saw Regan trying out) but I am going to give it a shot anyway.  Please wish me luck!

I have entered this card into the following challenges:

Doodle Pantry #23 - Use a DP image
Party Time Tuesdays #66 - Use two or more ribbons
Paper Playtime #73 - Anything goes
Simon Says Stamp - Anything birthday

I hope you have enjoyed your visit to my blog.  Have a blessed day and as always thank's for stopping by.
