Snowy Christmas Wishes

Here it is.  My last Christmas card (I think).  I can't think of another I might need.  It seems that December goes so much faster than all the other months.  This is our first Christmas without my mother and I have tried to keep as busy as I can.  I know she wouldn't want us to be sad at the happiest time of the year.  My sister hung up a beautiful memorial dove for her today.   I know she would love it.

The image for this card comes from Simply Betty Stamps.  She is one of my new Christmas digis.  Her name is Lola.  Her little friend is Louie.  I have colored her with Whisper Strokes Markers and Stickles from Ranger.  The embellishment is from Sizzix.  The paper comes from my box o scraps.  I used Paper Pizazz, Paper Pad Challenge, Pocket full of Posies and generic card stock.  The sentiment is from me.

I am entering into the following challenges:

It's time to rest now.  Thanks for stopping by.  Have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS.

A Song For Christmas

Almost done, YEA!!!!  One more to go and I will be done.  I would have been done last night but spent three hours wrapping Christmas presents for my daughter and my nieces.  I was joined by my sister-in-law and a friend of hers.  Nine hours of wrapping total.  Wow that was a lot of gifts.  These girls are getting a ton from Santa and their mom.

This beautiful image comes from Little Miss Muffet.  I just love it.  She is so cute.  I wanted her to give the gift of song.  Singing can be so moving and spiritual this time of year.  I colored her with Whisper Stroke Markers and Stickles from Ranger.  The papers are from The Paper Co., Martha Stuart and Far Far Hill.  I made the sentiment myself.

I'm entering her into the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by and have a Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas for Sisters

This is one of my last Christmas cards.  I could not post this until my sister Becky had received her card.  There is always a chance she might actually check my blog.  Becky is the one who got me into the card crafting life.  She's a great sister.  I made these earrings for her as well.

I also made an earring/bracelet set for her.

Her favorite color is green and she has a thing for fairy doors.  She even has one in her house.  The kids have yet to find it.  Becky bought a fairy door for my daughter Alicia also.  She loves it.  The fairy doors are so cute.  There is a saying that only a fairy can open them and they connect our world to that of the fairy's world.  I think they are very cute.

Back to the card now.  I got the image at Stitchy Bear Stamps.  I thought the sisters were perfect for a card for my sister.  I colored them with my Whisper Strokes Markers and some Stickles from Ranger.  The paper comes from Bazzill, American Crafts and Martha Stewart.  The sentiment is mine.

These are the challenges I have entered:

We had our Craft Club Christmas Dinner last night and I was able to give her this gift.  I'm so glad she liked them and even told me she is wearing the blue pair today.  Well I hope you have enjoyed your visit and that you all have a very Merry Christmas.  As always, thanks for stopping by.

Christmas Presents

Well I have been busy doing cards to mail out.  I promised I would show some of the jewelry I have made also. I made my sister Becky and my sister-in-law Sherrie some jewelry for Christmas.  My sister may check my blog so I am not putting hers in yet.  These are the ones I made for Sherrie.

I see her wear the same earrings day after day.  They are probably a bit more costly than these but girls should have more to choose from.  I hope she likes them.  There are no contests for these so if you stop by to see them please leave me a comment and thanks for stopping by.

Waiting for Santa

Christmas keeps getting closer and closer.  I'm still not ready.  There is so much left to do.  Fortunately I have very few cards left to make.  Most importantly my sister's card.  I can't put it on my blog until after she gets it.  I don't want to spoil the surprise.

This image of the little girl waiting for Santa to come is so cute!  It was a freebie from Sassy Studio Designs on their Paper Craft Planet chat blog.  Every Friday a new image.  Those ladies are just awesome.  The Santa image is from Crafting with Jack.  I colored the little girl as a composite of my nieces.  To color the images I used Whisper Stroke Markers, Elmer's paint pen and Stickles from Ranger.  The ribbon is from C & G.  The paper comes from The  Paper Co. and Martha Stewart.  I distressed it with Jim Holtz Distress Ink from Ranger.  The sentiment comes from me.

I really love this one hope you do too.  Thanks for stopping by.

Christmas Bells Are Ringing

More Christmas wishes for you.  I love Christmas don't you?  It's the most wonderful time of the year.  With that in mind this is my next Christmas card.  I had originally thought to do this image for my sister.  I had another idea for her so I'm sending this to a friend of mine.

The image for this card comes from May Brit's Hobbyblogg.  I colored this with Whisper Strokes Markers, American Crafts Metallic Markers and Stickles.  I just love sparkling things up.  The paper is from The Paper Co. and Martha Stewart.  The sentiment comes from me.

Off to make the next one.  Hope your holidays are going well.  As always thanks for stopping by.

Snowflake

I'm so happy to say I have recently won at Sassy Studio Designs and Shelly's Images.  I'm absolutely thrilled!!! Like anyone else I like to win things.  My sister said I must be really busy crafting.  I have been trying to get my cards finished but still I'm not ready for Christmas.  So much to do and not so much time left. Hope you are doing better than I am.

On to my new card.  My sister-in-law needed a Christmas card for her boss.  I had this snowflake colored and ready to make my card so I finished it up for her to give to her boss. Guess that's just one more card behind again.

I downloaded this as a freebie from Bird Cards.  They had a few snowflakes. I liked this one the best.  I colored it with Whisper Strokes Markers, Uni-ball Signo pen and Stickles from Ranger.  The paper is from The Paper Co. and American Crafts.  The sentiment is from me.

Hope you have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.

Christmas Nativity

I've been very busy getting these last few cards done.  This one was made with a particular little girl in mind.  Her  mother and I grew up as next door neighbors.  She remains to be one of my sister's very best friends to this day. She is such a sweet little girl.  She belongs to our craft club even though she is only six years old.  At our last meeting she issued us a challenge to create a Christmas card before the next meeting.  Easy since we were already doing them.  I thought I would create this one just for her and her family.

The image I used comes from Cre8tive Hands and the sentiment from Doodle Pantry.  I colored them with my Whisper Strokes Markers, American Craft Metallic Markers, Uni-ball Signo Broad Marker and Stickles from Ranger.  The paper comes from Bazzill and The Paper Co.

Wish me luck and thanks for stopping by!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CORTLYNN

I have taken a short break from Christmas cards.  My niece is turning 10 years old this week.  I wanted to make her a card with lots of colors and sparkles.  She likes bright colors and sparkles.  We make cards together sometimes and she loves to use these.

I love this image.  When I saw it I thought of Cortlynn immediately.  This is so fitting for a child's birthday.  It comes from Buga Boo.  I colored it with Whisper Strokes Markers and lots of different Stickles from Ranger.  I also used a some metallic markers form American Crafts.  The paper comes from Bazzill and Gina K Designs.

I hope you enjoyed this card and as always thanks for stopping by.

Christmas Tree

This is soooo my favorite time of year.  I love Christmas time.  People seem to be a bit happier and nicer.  More people think of Christ than the rest of the year.  I'm almost done with my Christmas cards.  Just a few left to go and this is one of them.

I made this card with an image from Cuddlybuddly Lilyboo Designs.  I colored this with Whisper Strokes Markers and added some Stickles from Ranger.  The papers are from Bazzill, The Paper Co. and Paper Pad Challenge.  I distressed the paper with Fired Brick Distress Ink from Ranger and Stampers Anonymous crinkle stamp from the Jim Holtz collection.  Finally the sentiment is my own.

Wish me luck and thanks for stopping by.

Prayerful Christmas

It's another wonderful day in December and I have another Christmas card to show you.  I received an email from a friend of mine that asked me to send a Christmas card to the ACLU.  The idea being to show them there are more people who want to leave Christmas in then want to take it out of everything.  Why let the minority of people dictate what the majority of us want.

With that in mind I thought this image from Sassy Studio Designs would be the perfect image for their card.  I just love the image of her praying. I am very involved in church and I love all that goes with it.  I put a lovely sentiment inside as well.  I hope many people choose to do this as well.  If you would like to do this also leave me a note in the comments and I will send you the address.

This image is called "Giving Thanks" from SSD.  I colored her with Whisper Strokes Markers.  I used paper from The Paper Co. and digi paper from Fred She Said.  The ribbon tape is from Martha Stewart.  The snowflakes and the punch for the sentiment are EK Success. The sentiment is my own.  Finally I used Stickles from Ranger to give her some Christmas sparkle.

I hope you like her and as always thanks for stopping by.
