SNOWY WINTER WISHES

Happy Sunday!  Only a week till Easter and I'm doing a winter card...everyone LOL now.

We have another fabulous challenge for you at

The challenge is "What's the Weather"

Our sponsor is once again

Spring has just started but we had snow again this week.  I'm so tired of the snow.  I love it but enough already.  I hope that's the last we see of it.  I really want to see some warmer days.  I don't really like the hot ones but I could use some warming up a bit.

Oddball Art has so many adorable images.  The one I have chosen is called "Kitten"  Isn't she so cute trying to catch snowflakes on her tongue!  The image comes with snowflakes around it.  I am so bad at backgrounds.  I truly tried to color in the background and use the snowflakes provided on the image but it did not turn out very pretty so I did a fussy cut.  Here is the digi.

I received a sentiment with this also but forgot until I had put a sentiment on it.  It says:  Let's jump and play catching snowflakes on our tongues all day.  Remember when it was so fun to do that as a kid?  Oh to be young again.

It's your turn now.  Hop on over to CWWC and check out all the other wonderful creations to inspire you then put on your crafting tiara and join us in the challenge.

ELSA SINGS FOR TASIA

This is the next card I have made for my friends little ones.  Six year old Tasia asked for an Elsa card.  She really loves the movie "Frozen" and so she asked me to make her a card with Elsa on it.  Fortunately, I have some Elsa images.  She wanted to see her in the dress when she sang "Let it Go".  I changed up a bit and made a "Let it Snow" sentiment.  Can't wait to give it to her.

When I did the fussy cut, I found her arms were too flimsy.  Here's my "Top Tip":  add another piece of card stock glued to the back of a flimsy part of your image.  It gives support and keeps it from breaking.

Card recipe:

Coloring medium - Copic, Wink of Stella, Stickles
Papers - Bazzill, Paper Co., Paper Pizazz
Ribbon - from stash
Die - Sizzix
Snowflake - Recollections
Embossing folder - Darice

A TRUCK FOR TINO

The other day I was bringing some cards to a friend of mine and her children said they wanted cards too.  This card was made for a little two year old boy.  He said he wanted a blue card with a truck on it.  It was so cute because he couldn't say blue or truck properly yet.  Such an adorable little boy he is.

This is the inside of the card.

Hope you like it.  His sister wanted a card too.  That will be my next post.

Card recipe:

Truck - Our Daily Bread
Coloring medium - Whisper Stroke and Copic markers, Glossy Accents
 Die - Spellbinders
Punch - Martha Stuart
Embossing folder - Darice
Papers - all from stash
Sentiment - My sister's idea

AN "OWL" BOOKMARK

Welcome to another wonderful challenge at

Our fortnight challenge is "Favorite Activity/Hobby"

We are sponsored by

The image I received is called "Owl".  Isn't she just adorable!  I love the wispy hair and the innocents of her face.  I had this image colored for quite some time but could not decide how to represent my favorite thing(s) to do.

My sister just bought a stencil of birds that I thought was lovely so I wanted to make a card with bird watching.  I like to do that at her house because she has five parrots that are her children and then bird feeders to keep the birds outside fed.  It's really peaceful doing that, but I can only do that at her house.  If I were to put a bird feeder at my house my dogs would go totally nuts!  I have two Chihuahuas and they can be real yappers when another animal or bird enters our yard.

I went and bought a stencil with birds and as I was driving home thought my absolute favorite thing to do (other than coloring and making my cards) is to read and do puzzles.  So I decided to do another tag and make a bookmark.  I can't have too many of those.  I am constantly loosing them.  I added a little puzzle piece to the tag for an embellishment because I love solving puzzles also.

Now hop on over to the CWWC blog and check out all the other creations from my DT sisters.  They are just fabulous!  Then put on your crafting tiara and join us in the challenge.

COME FLY WITH ME

Welcome all to another fabulous challenge at

We are sponsored by

Meljen's Designs

Our challenge is to use "Gray, Pink & Kraft".

We have some family challenges going on right now as well.  My sister first challenged my cousin and me to use sequins.  My cousin is now challenging us to use a stand up die from Elizabeth Crafts.  She gave them to us a while back but I had forgotten as they were in my sister's craft room.  I just love them.  It makes an easel card so easy to do.  I now have no excuse to not make them.

Here is a side view of my card.

The image I chose is called Hot Air Balloon.  It had a little heart on it so I used the heart die from Elizabeth Crafts to go along with it.  I was not going to do a fussy cut but I am really bad at making the background.  I'm going to have to learn that some day.

I do hope you will join us in this challenge and please hop over to the CWWC blog and check out all the wonderful creations that my DT sisters have made.
