BLACK AND WHITE CHRISTMAS

Hello again.  I am hoping you have had a wonderful two weeks.  We are starting a new challenge at

We didn't see as many people in our challenge this last time so I am hoping that many more of you will join this time.  Our sponsor this fortnight is Lacy Sunshine.

She has given me this lovely image called Flurry.  Isn't she just beautiful!  Our challenge is "Black and White".  I have never made a black and white card with an image.  I colored in shades of warm and cool grays but I had to have a pop of color.  So I used R0000 on her face and V0000 on her wings.  I was going to settle with that but then I just had to use red on her lips.  I used some Wink of Stella on her hair to sparkle her up, unfortunately, I couldn't seem to get any of the sparkle in the picture.  Everything I used was from my stash so I am very pleased with that.

I hope you will all go to our challenge blog and check out all the wonderful inspiration we have for you at Crafting When We Can.  Don't forget to leave everyone some love and join us for the challenge.

FOR MY SISTER

Here we are with another challenge at

We are again sponsored by

Our challenge this fortnight is to "Name it".  I was given this image named Suzette.   She's a very beautiful girl.  The look on her face makes me see her as thinking.  So since my sister had a birthday recently and I did not send her a card (bad me) I am going to send this to her to let her know I was thinking of her.  Rhonda is my baby sister and lives in Kentucky.  I don't see her very often because I physically can't make the trip and neither can she.  So I hope this card brings her a smile.

When I was coloring the image, I was very unhappy with the way I did the butterflies.  So I looked up images of butterflies and got some better ideas.  I colored them on another copy of the image, cut them out and then glued them on top of the ones in her hair.  I liked these much better.

Please stop over at the Crafting When We Can challenge blog and check out the other wonderful creations by my DT sisters.  Now put on your crafting crowns and join us in the challenge.
