My first ever blog hop as a DT guest!

Hi everyone!  I'm so excited to be part of the Simply Betty Stamps Halloween Blog Hop!  I hope you have enjoyed your hop yesterday and today.  If you have come here from Erika you are in the right place.  If not please start your hop at Simply Betty Stamps.

Today's prize is this awesome bucket... it contains six brand spankin' new stamps from our Jude and the Rockers Fall release, embellishments, and candy!  All the fun stuff in this bucket will allow you to make six cards total, and have extra paper for more projects if you wish!

Details on how to win this prize will be in tomorrow's post, be sure to come on by tomorrow for our final Hop day!  Of course Betty has one single prize for today and that too will be a new secret Betty digi that will soon be available, but again only in clear stamp form!  Only the DT and the winner of today's Betty will have her in digi form TOMORROW!

The DT and their guests (me for one) have had a great time getting ready for this.  We each made cards and sent gifts to each other in a secret pumpkin game.  I haven't played this in years.  Here is what I received from Kelli!

I love these fuzzy socks and Milky Ways are my absolute favorite candy.  She made such a beautiful card too.  This gorgeous image is Lucy from the Victorian Beauties Line at Simply Betty Stamps.  I love the webs and all the sparkles don't you?  Kelli did an absolutely wonderful job on this card.  Thanks Kelli for all my gifts!  I just love them.  Please take a moment to visit Kelli and give her some love on her blog.

My card and goodies went to Aeryn.  I hope she likes them.  Please stop by her blog and take a look. Aeryn is new to the DT and I just love love love her stuff.  She is totally awesome.

Well we are done for today.  Don't forget the fun starts again tomorrow.  Go to Simply Betty Stamps Blog to check out how you win those great prizes.

If you missed any of the hopping today here is the list to go back and see them:

Merry Christmas

I know Halloween hasn't quite made it yet but I really wanted to make a Christmas card.  I am enjoying the coloring part of card making very much.  It is so relaxing to just immerse yourself into coloring like you did when you were a kid.  To make this card I used the following:

Masquerade Victorian Beauty from Sassy Studio Designs
Colored with Whisper Strokes Markers
Card stock from Bazzill Basics Paper
Ornaments from EK Success
Poinsettia from Martha Stewart
Green and Icicle Stickles from Ranger
I created the sentiment

I am entering into the following challenges:

Hope all is well with you and yours.  Merry Christmas!  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day.

Trick or Treat

As the day approaches, I believe this will be my last Halloween card.  I have been a busy bee coloring and now I need to start on the Christmas stuff.  Tonight is Trunk or Treat at my church and while my daughter is a bit old to go around for candy she's not too old to dress up and go have fun.  She is going as a Greek Goddess.  She looks gorgeous too.  Hopefully she will give me permission to post a picture.

I created this card with Sassy Studio Designs challenge in mind but I also incorporated some items from other sites.  These are the things I used to make this one:

This pretty witch is from Sassy Studio Designs as is the pumpkin
I colored them with Whisper Strokes markers
The DP is a digi from Paper Pad Challenge
Both the black and orange paper are from Bazzill Basics Paper
Icicle Stickles from Ranger
I created the the sentiment myself

I have entered the following challenges:

I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I enjoyed making it.   Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Steampunk Vivian

Well I did it! I finished the Steampunk Challenge Relay from Sassy Studio Designs!  I feel such an accomplishment.  This has been a busy week.  It usually takes me so long to come up with what I want to do that a lot of my time is spent just thinking about what I would like to see instead of doing something and maybe trying something new.  This has been all new and different for me as I rarely do anything steampunk related.

I added Vivian to my flip book with Victoria.  I thought she looked a bit Old West so I gave her a rope so she would be ready to tie up the bad guys.  This is the first blonde I did that I liked.  After seeing some of the beautiful blondes being done I thought I should be able to find the right colors to make one also.  I finally did.  Hope you like it.

To make this page in my book I used the following:

Digi image from Sassy Studio Designs
Whisper Strokes Markers
DP and lock from Bo Bunny
Gears from 7 gypsies
Ribbon from Darice
Floral from Reflections

My daughter is off at a pumpkin patch with her cousins so I had to take this picture myself.  Well I'm off to make the next Halloween Challenge for SSD.  Like I said this has been a busy crafting week.

I have entered this card into the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you have a great weekend!

Steampunk Victoria

This past week I have been doing the Steampunk Challenge at Sassy Studio Designs.  I have just completed Challenge #3.  This has been some task keeping up with this.  Our house flooded and I didn't know if I would be able to work on this or not.  Hopefully all the water will be gone by tomorrow.

Once a month I get together with some other women for a craft club meeting.  Last night was one of these nights.  We made an awesome flip book.  I would have preferred green paper but I got the pink.  I'm not really a pink person but I am making it work.

I think Victoria looks nice against this paper.  To make her I used the following:

Digi image from Sassy Studio Designs
She is colored with Whisper Strokes Markers
The gears are from 7 gypsies
The key paper is digi from Steady On
The book is from Cinch
The papers used in the book are from Stampin Up
Floral paper from Bo Bunny
Other papers from Bazzill Basics
Distress ink from Tim Holtz

As always, the pictures were taken by my lovely daughter.  Since these are taken on my phone and uploaded onto the computer she has been unhappy with the results as of late.  I think they look great.  She does an awesome job for me and I appreciate her for this very much.  I have entered her into these challenges:

Sweet Stamps Blog Challenge #37

Hope you like Victoria and as always - Thanks for stopping by.

Steampunk Amelia

Well here is my attempt at another Steampunk from Sassy Studio Designs.  They are having a Steampunk release and give away!  All the freebies lately are just awesome.  Lindsay who draws this line has been very generous and given so many away.  These digis are just such SASSY WOMEN.  Here is what I used on this card:

Steampunk Amelia from SSD
Whisper Strokes markers
Ribbons from Darice and C&G
The clock brad from Bo-Bunny
Papers from Bo-Bunny and Bazzill

Thanks given to my daughter for taking all my pictures.  I have never completed two cards in one day before.  Hopefully you like them.  Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Halloween

Hi all!  I have been doing challenges for Sassy Studio Designs this week and here is my second one.  This is Wicked Honey.  I did another card with her recently but thought she was too cute to just do one.  SSD recently had a Halloween Hop and are now having a Steampunk Challenge.  I am not used to the world of Steampunk but I'm learning.  For this card we were given a challenge to use 5 out of 15 items.  I'm still learning on coordinating things together so they fit on the card.  The five items I am using are:
bats
spiders
cobwebs
glitter
ribbon
I used this image from Sassy Studio Designs as well as the bats, web and spider in the corner are from Martha Stewart, ribbon from Darice, Icicle Stickles from Ranger and papers from Bazzill Basics.  Since this is a Halloween card and it's that time of year there are tons of Halloween Challenges to enter.  Here are a list of the challenges I picked to enter into:

Dream Valley Challenge #18
Sparkles Forum Challenge #22
Paper Sundaes Challenge #91
Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #134
Gingerloft Challenge #27
Crafty Boots Autumn/Halloween
Paper Creations Ink Challenge #11
Hooked on Craft Challenge #10

I think this is the most I have entered at one time.  I wonder if it's like this for all the holidays.  I guess I will find out the closer it gets to Christmas.  Wish me luck on the drawings.  Thanks for stopping by.

Steampunk Josephine

Sassy Studio Designs is having another party!  They have just hit 500 on Paper Craft Planet and are having a challenge/giveaway!  It's so exciting.  This is the first challenge.  I almost didn't get finished in time.  I used my favorite color GREEN to give her this look.  This has been a bit out of my comfort zone.  I have never used brads or anything steampunk before.  I have a friend who designs jewelry specifically with steampunks in mind.  I miss her.  She is in GA and I am now in OH.  Maybe I will send this to her.  I used all of the following to make her:

Crocodile Brown paper from Hot off the Press, Inc.
Timepiece paper & brads from Bo-Bunny's Back to Backs
Whisper Strokes markers
Of course the digi from

I have entered her into the following challenges:

Hope you enjoyed this card.  Thanks for stopping by.

Vampire Love

A vampire in love!  Isn't that just cute.  This is Vampire Rosalie.  Sassy Studio Designs has done it again!  Every Friday there is a freebie offered to those who have signed up on Paper Craft Planet.  They are offering a challenge to use the freebies on Paper Craft Planet.  When making this card I decided to go cute instead of scary.  The image of course is from Sassy Studio Designs and she is colored with Whisper Strokes.  I used paper from Bazzill and Hot off the Press.  The sentiment I created on my computer.  This picture is courtesy of my daughter.  Isn't she sweet to do this for me.  Thanks for stopping by!
